Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am excited to serve as the Principal of Longwood High School for the third year and work closely with our administrators, teachers, and staff members to continue offering our students the best. This is always an exciting time for us as we look forward to seeing our students. Our team has prepared another exciting school year filled with wonderful learning opportunities and experiences for our students.

During the summer, our staff members worked around the clock to make many upgrades and performed maintenance throughout the building. I want to acknowledge the incredible work our custodial staff, office staff, aides, teachers, and administrators have engaged in over the summer. Our staff worked hard to prepare our classrooms, hallways, and curricula to ensure our students return to school for another successful school year. This required the coordination and flexibility of these dedicated people. I know you share my gratitude for their hard work.

Our mission is to continue to work together and provide the best education and learning opportunities for our students. Our building goal focus areas are:

  • Strong Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Practices
  • Empowered Students, Staff, and School Community
  • Collaborative School and Community Partnerships
  • Efficient and Effective Operations

Students always perform better when there is a collaborative partnership between parents and school. Please reach out to your child’s teacher, counselor, or administrator whenever you have questions or concerns.

Please note the high school utilizes the PowerSchool Parent Portal to provide timely information to parents regarding their child’s attendance record, progress reports, and quarterly grades. It is a valuable resource, and we strongly recommend you access the portal regularly. The parent portal and other documents, including the Code of Conduct, can be easily accessed through the District’s homepage.

In addition, for direct communication with the school, please consider joining Longwood’s Parent  Teacher Student Association (PTSA).  The PTSA works tirelessly to support the high school’s goals of educational success for all students by fostering strong parent, family, and community involvement.

We encourage all students to utilize our transportation system provided by the District. If you ever need to drop your child off on our campus, please follow our student drop-off procedure and traffic pattern.

As always, your child’s education, safety, and wellness are our top priorities. We believe in our students!
