At Longwood high school, we are dedicated to creating an environment where all children and adults can connect, understand, respect, learn, and grow together. Teaching and learning is a two-way street for everyone, and we ensure that a system of support is created for all children. Our goal is to create future leaders that will positively impact the Longwood community.
Our core values are:
High expectations and achievement for all students - Longwood High School is dedicated to understanding our students and connecting with them to make sure we create a plan customized for each student. We facilitate a learning environment where all students can work hard, think critically and creatively, and have a step-by-step plan to reach their full potential.
Collaborative environment of persistence - Longwood High School creates a supportive team approach for students, staff, and administrators. We create space for all students to be able to ask and offer help whenever they need it, explore opportunities, and be involved in various academic and extracurricular activities. Hard work and persistence is the key ingredient for our students to be successful in anything they put their minds to.
Leadership through respectful communication - Longwood High School students, faculty, staff, and administrators are committed to excellence. We always push ourselves to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity within our community by learning from and being there for each other. Our commitment is to create student leaders that will help build an atmosphere of safety where there is belonging for all students.
I am beyond excited to be able to work with our students, and continue to build our legacy.
